General Job Description

The IT Security Consultant will be responsible for supporting planning, supervising staff, and executing IT Security projects.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor’s degree computer science, information systems or related field.
  • Experience in project management of enterprise security infrastructure programs
  • Knowledgeable about security standards like ISO 27001, 27002.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies such as enterprise AV, NAC, IPDS, and SIEM
  • Certifications like CISA, CISM, CISSP are preferable.
  • The candidate should have at least 5 years experience in Information technology and at least  3 years in IT information security industry.
  • Good presentation and writing skills

Job Description

  • Performs compliance audits, penetration testing, network assessments, physical risk assessments and gap analysis of policies and procedures; confers with clients and client subject matter experts regarding internal operations
  • Performs analysis of data collected to determine problems, design solutions, recommend process improvements, and build implementation plans for client situations based upon specialized expertise
  • Identify and evaluate new  security technologies to counter emerging or existing threats
  • Advises or recommends client software programs and security tools to detect or protect against cyber attacks
  • Develops enterprise-wide security and/or operational infrastructure architecture, policies, procedures, standards and internal controls including network drawings, information sharing, permissions, etc.
  • Coordinates and implements comprehensive technical security systems designed for the protection of information
  • Manage and co-ordinate infrastructure security reviews, assessments and penetration tests
  • Prepares written reports and delivers executive and working group-level presentations to management regarding conclusions and solutions
